Ah, young love. I recently went to a celebration at the apartment of a young, engaged couple. The soon to be groom, so loves his soon to be bride that he agreed to convert to Judaism for her. Part of that process was getting Bar Mitzvahed at age 31! To make the Bar Mitzvah as authentic as possible, I was hired to do caricatures for the reception. I’m pretty sure whichever holy book holds the rules for Bar Mitzvoth, it states, “Thou must have a nerdy, middle aged caricature artist for which to entertain thine guests.” Amen.
